Hunger Walk 2012 in Hotlanta was a huge success, helping raise money for those less fortunate.
PFI participated and was happy to lend a hand! PFI participated and was happy to lend a hand! Each spring it is an anticipated event. PFI joins as the local community unites, and participants enjoy either a 5K walk or 5K “fun run” through downtown Atlanta.
The Hunger Walk/Run brings together thousands of people from a multitude of faith groups, youth groups, school groups, colleges, and corporations, as well as individuals who recruit their friends, families and coworkers to support the effort. The event starts and ends at Turner Field and includes a family-friendly festival atmosphere. We’ll have live music performances (both on the main stage and along the walk/run route), food vendors, sponsor tents, children’s play zone, inflatables, games, educational engagement activities, and more. All for a great cause!
The annual Hunger Walk/Run is an integral fundraising event – supporting hunger and poverty relief throughout metro Atlanta and north Georgia. The event benefits six partner organizations’ efforts to help provide meals and groceries to those less fortunate. Last March, more than 13,000 participants came together to raise over $500,000!
